Did You Know that on May 27, 2017 Maldon High School put on its first theatrical production. It was a remake of the Jamaican play 'Old Story Time'. The cast featured Anneisha Salmon (Pa Ben), Shiniker Swaby Douglas (Ms. Aggy), Fellon Morrison (Len), Derrio Johnson (Lois), Kadian Ferguson (Magaret Greaves), Gregory Brown (George McFarlene) and Director,Tamiece Powell-Vassel (Pearl). The stage and the set were created by the building Technology students at the time. The play was a big hit and left the audience asking when next.

Did You Know that the gazebo underwhich the Stanley Buddle monument stands is the brainchild of the 2015 Prefect body and Advisors? In 2015 the Head of the Prefect Committee proposed the idea to make additional covered space on the compound. The principal decided to give up a part of her treasured garden to facilitate this project. The construction of the gazebo began in 2016 with the help of Mr. Clive Williams, then HOD of the Industrial Technology Department. The project has spanned a number of years and when completed, the gazebo will once again house a garden space.

Did You Know that one of the few Jamaicans who reside in Iceland is a past student of Maldon? Claudia A. Wilson Malloy graduated in 2001 and is now an immigration attorney at law. She is the first Jamaican to pass the Bar to practice Law in Iceland. As a Maldon student, she served as Headgirl, Captain of the Debating team and Vice-captain of the schools Quiz team, to name a few.

Did You Know Maldon High was the first to have someone medal in the high jump at every class at Western Champs, Unfortunately though, because of financial constraints the team did not make it to the National Championships.

Did You Know Maldon won Western Champs Javelin 3 years in a row through Shamesha Thomas. We were the first school to do it at that time.

Did You Know 9 years ago Volleyball was introduced to Maldon High School because there was a group of very tall boys in the Empowerment group. A teacher thought they were too tall to go to waste. He asked the HOD if he could introduce them to the sport. They never won a match the first year but they were enthusiastic. Since the introduction to the sport, approximately 8 Maldonians have been invited to participate in the national program.

Did You Know that Maldon High School won the Montego Bay Cooperative Credit Union (MCCU) "Skills for Life" trophy for 2011? The Business students made 200% profit on their $25,000 investments by selling nuggets and fries to their school mates.

Fun Fact In September, 2018 Maldon High School welcomed the first batch of six form students. They studied Communication Studies, Tourism and Entrepreneurship.
